You can’t change the world if no one knows what you’re doing.
Writing and Editorial Services
Getting started on a new marketing project can feel overwhelming, especially given all your other responsibilities. With over 11-years’ experience working on projects both large and small, I know how to get up to speed quickly, zeroing in on the important facts that need to be communicated to your audiences.
What You Get When You Hire Me
Available When You Need Them
Project workloads can change from week to week. Hiring me is a great way to efficiently meet your deadlines without having to increase your headcount on a permanent basis.
Avoid “Gotcha” Invoicing
Surprises are great for birthdays. In business–not so much. That’s why I charge a fixed fee per project, not per hour. That way, you’ll always know what a specific project will cost upfront.
What My Clients Are Saying
Sonia is personable and very available to make you feel comfortable about pulling thoughts from your head into words on the Web. Her patience was valuable to me as I’ve been all over the place with my background and interests – she really helped me focus and drill down to the relevant elements.
Personality is important to me and Sonia/I were able to laugh, think together (while I mainly apologized profusely for not feeling like I was providing her with the right info). Think about it like this: my needs were a tornado in an open field and Sonia used her magic powers to turn the tornado into a grassy hill complete with butterflies and a cool breeze of quality words.
How the Process Works
Writers have different specialities. That’s why I schedule a time for us to talk to make sure that I am the right fit for your project.
Quotes vary depending on the assignment and are given as a flat, per project fee. That way you always know exactly how much a particular assignment will cost. Most work requires a signed agreement and a 50 percent upfront deposit.
Discovery & Research
The discovery phase varies from project to project. However, generally it involves collecting and reviewing a variety of material–both internal to your organization as well as that of your peers or competitors.
We’ll have at least one in-depth conversation to assess your needs and develop specific goals and desired outcomes.
Planning & Creation
Remember creating outlines in English class? Yep, I do those too. They’re like a compass, keeping me focused on achieving your strategic communications goals.
For longer projects, such as an annual or research report, I’ll send you my outline for your approval before I begin writing.
Revision & Sign Off
What do good stories have? A point. One that you get to after grabbing your reader in the beginning and keeping them interested throughout the middle.
Reports, press releases, newsletter articles–they are all stories, just in a different wrapper.
I write, edit, and rewrite again. Most projects include two full rounds of revision to ensure you are satisfied with the final result.
Frequently Asked Questions
So here we are. You’ve got questions. I’ve got answers. Or at least, some answers–I don’t know everything. That would be exhausting. You can find answers to my most frequently asked questions below. Contact me at email@example.com if you want to know more or would like to discuss a specific project.
What is a content marketing writer and how can you help me?
I’m an award-winning content marketing writer who helps marketers at nonprofit organizations, government agencies and businesses with a social good focus create content that educates their stakeholders and inspires action.

How can I see copies of your work and testimonials?
You can find a few samples on my online portfolio page. However, some of my work can only be shown on a case-by-case basis. Please contact me to request additional samples.
What are your fees?
I charge a fixed fee per project, not per hour. That way, you know exactly what you will pay for my services up front. All prices include two round of revisions.
